A) Essential cookies
Required for the Website to function: session, security, and storage of your cookie choice itself. These cannot be switched off.
We also run Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure aggregate traffic and page performance. Both are cookieless, do not track you across sites, and load on every page.
B) Analytics (PostHog, Google Analytics and jl-first-touch)
If you consent, we use PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how visitors use the Website, so we can improve it. PostHog may set cookies and collect information such as pages visited, time on page, interactions, and device/browser details. We do not enable session recording.
If you consent, we also use Google Analytics (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to measure visits, where visitors come from and interactions such as scrolling and clicks on outbound links. Google Analytics sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies, which last up to 2 years. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
If you consent to analytics, this Website also keeps the campaign tags and short-link code of the link that brought you here in your browser’s session storage as jl-first-touch, so a form you fill in a few pages later records where you came from. It holds no name or email address, and goes when you close the tab or switch analytics off. Without your consent nothing is saved in your browser: the tags stay in the page’s memory and are lost if you reload. Either way, if you then fill in a form, the tags are sent with it (see our Privacy Policy, section 2).
C) Marketing cookies
We set one marketing cookie, only if marketing cookies are on when you sign up to the Resources Vault with a work email address. It is called jl_vault_reader, lasts up to 6 months and holds an encrypted code tied to your sign-up, not your email address. It lets us note which Vault guides you open on this Website. Switch marketing cookies off and we delete it and note nothing more on the Website. What we note, and how to stop it, is in our Privacy Policy (Vault reading).
We use no third-party marketing or advertising cookies. If we add one, it will be listed here and will load only after you consent to the marketing category.
3. Your choices (UK + EU)
Analytics and marketing cookies are off by default until you choose to accept them. You can:
- accept all cookies
- reject all non-essential cookies
- customise your choices per category
- change your choice later via the “Cookie settings” link in the Website footer
